Entertaining, decent cast (I'll always love watching Statham, no matter how bad the movie), but total LOTR ripoff. And the final battle (with the books, dear god) was absolutely ridiculous. Minus a half star for that foolishness alone.
i didn't really understand what was going on for most of this movie. i only saw it cause lee lee sobieski was in it.
An epic story, very well done and a outstanding ensemble cast and besides i'm a history buff so sue me
I fell asleep while watching this, and it was boring, anachronistic, and just plain stupid. Uwe Boll, you fail!
Even with a bigger budget, Uwe still manages to crap out a awful movie. Jason Statham's career is is somehow alive...
This movie was awesome. It had heaps of wizards and ninjas in it. All movies should be more like this one.
Craptacular beyond belief. You wouldn't think that though, looking at the cast: Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, Burt Reynolds, Leelee Sobieski, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, Jason Statham. You wouldn't think that though, looking at the cast: Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, Burt Reynolds, Leelee Sobieski, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, Jason Statham. Look at the directing credit though, and all is explained: Uwe Boll, the worst director of this generation. A man of the Michael Bay "screw the plot, special effects are all that matter" persuation. So bad that he makes Michael Bay look like a genius, and that says a lot.
What's wrong with this move? How long have you got? Lame, random, plot, with holes you could drive oil tankers through. Wooden acting from, as I mentioned, a fairly decent cast. Can't think of a single good thing about it.
Critic Reviews
Only Uwe Boll would assume that the moviegoing public craved a trashy Lord of the Rings rip-off starring Burt Reynolds and Matthew Lillard, and only he could then manage to make such a potentially riotous endeavor so humorless.full review
