Of course the prerequisite tragedies have to occur for the hero to come back for vengence and this was one of those films. SRK as the mute Shankar was great. The romance that buds between him and Gauri (Madhuri Dixit) is sweet. I thought it was awesome when Shankar starts getting back at the people who did him wrong and Gauri helped him. That's true love. LOL. Really great action fillm with so much heart.
Srk and my beautiful Madhuri but minus point is SRK hairstyle and totally unbelievable story line but heck this is bollywood.major pluses: amrish puri's villainouse comedy ,MUSIC ..mmmm...and madhuri looking like a goddess. dekha tujhe to.....
it is a really good one, i loved the movie. Shahrukh & Madhri and the other old guy (i dont remember the name:P) was great at acting =) this film is a hit. i loved the story
I loved the storyline of this movie but it was too violent for my tastes; as always SRK is the ideal hero, the innocent, brave, self-sacrificing character that we have fallen in love with over and over in his movies.
Ok e' un delirio trash lo ammetto... (ma e' divertente... vedere fin dove arrivano a partire dal ballo dei bambini dopo i dolcetti alla cannabis)
I am surprised, too, that this movie is from 1997 - I thought it to be a movie of the late 80s, early 90s.

If you loved 'Karan Arjun' you may enjoy Koyla too !!!
another bollywood classic. love the songs especially! but overall a great film.
Basically the cover of a Danielle Steele novel come viciously alive; lots of soft focus, sweat trailing down backs, and SRK playing a cross between Rambo and Fabio. Several really gross scenes of violence + Roshan's tendency to sample Hollywood soundtracks (Jurassic Park, when SRK meets the evil psycho bro). Avoid, yaar.
I LOVE this one. An absolute classic in the late genre of curry westerns. SRK's silent RAMBO rage is simply brilliant. I can't believe this was 1997 when it looks like 1984! Love it when she gets high with the local village kids. AND the MUSIC is fantastic! I wish I had a copy of it!
