Shahrukh Khan as a gangster was awesome but the weakness in the script let the film down.
Shahrukh Khan was overreacting during almost the whole movie, i think. Except that, i loved the story, it is a really sad one, i cried a lot at the and of the movie...
The parting scene between Ram, Murli and the boys at the end was really sad. The last thing he did for his friend.
worth to watch only for SRK and Juhi performances. The film is rather bad and the plot inexistant
Pulpy like a comic book, this remake of Angels with Dirty Faces is a lot of fun until they decide Juhi Chawla's character should basically whore herself to redeem Ram Jaane. I really have mixed feelings towards this movie. It could have been a great story and SRK's performance as Ram Jaane is just superb BUT the movie's transcription seems a little sloppy and it feels as if the director would just rush through the story.... Another really annoying thing - at least on my DVD - is that the Hindi dubbing is very bad...the kind of extreme non-synchronicity one would expect from a foreign language dubbing but not from an original language dubbing.
Nonetheless, I absolutely fell in love with the song "Pump Up The Bhangra" and SRK dancing skills are awesome, especially when I madly shakes to the chorus :-)
Watch it just for its climax.....the way SRK begs for his life just to show he is no hero and people should not be like him......but otherwise the movie is bad thanks to sloppy direction.....
A great film, The way he begs for his life too make the children think he isn't as cool as he seems too be is heart rending.
