It must also be noted that the film is not just based on the tv series but the script is in most places word for word the same as the tv series. The film also suffers from the tragic loss of Richard Beckinsdale, his replacement comes nowhere near close to filling that void. In conclusion, just watch the tv series.

No matter how much of a fan you are of the classic tv series DO NOT WATCH this film. Its kind of a cut and shut of classic sketches but is something of a terrible mistake.
