best parts about this one are the real 'country' stars interviews, with merle haggard being the top of that list. laughed plenty during these. the rest is ok, just nothing special. enjoyable.

alot of people might not ike this movie, but i like music and bad habbits, and stories tht nobody knows about

People have called it "Canada's version of Spinal Tap", but I say it's SO much more than that. the music is amazing, GREAT story, and some fun interviews with real life country legends/badasses like Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson. this mockumentary really stands up on it's own and musician/first time actor Matt Murphy really adds a different flavor, he reminded me A LOT of the late Jeff Buckley.

don't let the country put you off, this is more like 70's country...right along the vein of songs like Doobie Brothers' "Black Water".

if you're a fan of music and a great story, RENT this!

Betraying a charismatic performance by indie CanRock hero Matt Murphy as Terrifico by cutting down on his screen time, Mabbott gives us not nearly enough of what makes this film work on rare occasions: Murphy and his fellow musicians (I spotted members of Cuff the Duke and Thrush Hermit at least) making simple, joyful rustic tunes and delightfully sending up rock-star excess...

But with such a promising core, nothing is accomplished: there are maybe two good tunes and possibly five laughs in the entire running time, and far too many famous talking heads delivering lines that Murphy's Terrifico would have made much funnier. And anyway, there's only so much laughter to be rung out of a rock star being blitzed on booze and drugs. "Terrifico" wants to be a countrified Canadian "Spinal Tap", but instead comes off more like that film's "Stonehenge" sequence: a rather ludicrous misfire.

Much of Michael Mabbott's overextended mockumentary has the insular feel of something made for a small group of people, most of whom actually were involved in its production.

A very believable mockumentary about a Canadian rockin' country singer. Excellent and very funny interviews from Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor.
