not much like the short story by kurt vonnegut jr. it still kept me interested though
if you've seen the film Idiocracy, this has a similar plot, though a more serious tone. In the future everyone is controled so they are all average inteligence. Those who resist the process are rounded up.

Perhaps not the best quality production, but the humor and satire are fantastic.
I only saw it once and it was on TV, from what I remember it was good. I loved the short story. Probably why I rated it so high.
The story is brilliant, unfortunately the movie is not. The acting performance is a disgrace except for Christopher Plummer who compensates the rest...hope they remake this soon.
Mediocre Mid-Nineties TV adaption of a brilliant dystopian Sci-Fi story by Vonnegut. Fans of the genre should check it out on Google Video, where it's available in full.
A great story marred a bit by the low budget TV production. This movie could easily be remade today and be just as if not more relevant. Eugene Levy made a great idiot president. I fell asleep just before the end so I'm not sure what happened.

i've been wanting to see this one for a while now..not bad but it would have had to have been an amazing movie to live up to the book.
