Brilliant, passionate, beautiful movie! Loved every bit of it, beginning to end. Keira Knightley is fabulous as ever. A huge credit to Saoirse Ronan as well!

This film has scenes that are like paintings in motion, so beautifully captured. The lighting, colors and camera work were all amazing.

In true form for a realistic character, Saoirse Ronan is the sister you love to hate: bringing about the demise of her sister's tumultuous relationship with the son of a family servant by falsely accusing him of a crime he did not commit.

The film wholly transports you into the lives of fictional characters, making their pain, passion, and regret more real than anything else. All of the elements come together to create a near perfect film.

Atonement is an almost classical example of how pointless, how diminishing, the transmutation of literature into film can be.
