I just did not connect with the female pain. I can see how some girls would. I'm not going to totally condemn the movie though. I did enjoy some of it. Even Kudrow's stock lines.

Ok, but the book was better and Hilary Swank was kind of annoying.

It's definitely cheesy, but it works. It's got a nice combination of sad, cute, and funny. Enjoyable, but something you definitely need to be in the right mood to watch.

If you're looking for a great date movie so you can get laid over the holidays, this is the one.

Some actors are better suited to straight-ahead dramas. Swank appears to be one of them.

The talented Swank is slumming a bit here, but she could -- and has -- done worse.
