Slightly better than average drama. Probably the best acting I've seen Samuel L Jackson do.

However, here he delivered one of the best performance in his career and I haven t seen Hartnett is a very good and suitable role in a while so this was an unexpected treat. Hartnett did bring a lot of heart and soul to his character as a sports journalist struggling to get noticed at his newspaper firm. There happens to be a lot of emotional baggage here but overall the story still works. Probably due to the amazing lead and supporting casts
I really enjoyed this movie. I'm normally not a big fan of Hartnett, but he and Jackson did really well together in this.
I saw this today. What a GREAT movie! Great lessons on integrity and the importance of your reputation. Tons of object lessons. Una muy buena historia, por mas que sea una pelicula de drama tiene muchas partes divertidas, no es para nada pesada de llevar y eso lo hace una muy buena pelicula.
"You helped the Champ when he was down and halfway out! I won't forget this."
It was an okay movie, but I'm glad I didn't pay to watch it. Disappointing from Samuel.
I'm not a huge Josh Hartnett fan, but I have a special warm place for journalism movies. Sammy Jackson was great, as usual.
I wasn't a fan of this movie. I do like boxing movies, but Jackson almost ruined the movie for me - I haven't found a newer movie of his that I liked. Hartnett's character seems so airy. Was quite disappointed in this movie.
Great performances by Samuel L. Jackson as the homeless ex-boxer and Josh Hartnett as the journalist who befriends him and writes his story. The story spun off into a direction I was not expecting and was quite shocked by. I had hoped there would have been more to the story, however.
this was a good film it didnt get good reviews but i enjoyed it

Resurrecting the Champ is enjoyable in the moment -- But it's the complexity of Lurie's moral universe that makes it linger in the mind.full review
Jackson disappears into his role, completely convincing, but then he usually is. What a fine actor.full review
This is at heart a story about fathers and sons and self-discovery, and on that score it's a knockout.full review
