Mary: Mother of Jesus is a liberal interpretation of the New Testament that might not sit well with fundamentalists; others, however, may find this Mary intriguing.

Christain Bale can't be born and die in a movie.. and then reborn again.. It was pretty good... lol

You can not help but cringe watching this poorly written, terribly shot and horribly acted 'movie' and wonder how any of the actors got further work. It is almost beyond imagining that 'Jesus' would later become 'The Dark Knight'!!
interesting adaptation but clearly a made for t.v. movie with much room for improvement

Yet for all her struggles with what her son had to do, she remained faithful. The acting at points was poor and the weird mix of dialogue from scripture along with dialogue written for the movie didn't always work. But Bale was awesome and the story had a provocative premise.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! The only reason I watched this was for Christian Bale as Jesus. Obviously. But it's so inaccurate and horrible. And cheesy on top of it.

AND I feel really bad for thinking of Jesus as . . . Christian Bale. If that makes sense. It's just wrong.
The acting's almost as hilarious as the script, and the quasi-British accents are a lot of fun too. His mother can be kind of a battleaxe, but Christian Bale makes a really handsome and charismatic Messiah. Who wouldn't want to follow this guy?

Liked it VERY much, the only thing I didn't dig was the eye on eye at the very end. It was thought provoking (for me) to see the played out in Mary's POV
If it weren't for Jesus being really hot (sacrilegious!), I would've given this one star. This was pretty much laughable.
