This is what get's watched when the remote is just out of reach and you are too lazy to reach for it. This film is wrong on so many levels. However, Jessica Biel.

It follows his usual formula, which always includes an attractive an completely unattached female character who (a) enters the picture out of nowhere 20 minutes into the movie, (b) becomes disillusioned with him, and (c) appreciates him in the end after he makes a small concession.
But I don't want to be hard on Sandler because the film also includes some refreshing twists relating to gay rights and a commentary about why the word "faggot" is no longer acceptable. It's not exactly philosophical, and it would have been riskier twenty years ago when Eddie Murray et al. were still making homophobic jokes, but I give him some credit.
With this cast, how could you go wrong? WITH THIS MOVIE, that's how. Fuckin' terrible. Sorry for the F-bomb mom, couldn't be helped.
Really good movie. Funny story, my brother in law wont see Blades of Glory because he thinks its "too gay"....But he loves this movie!
There were more than a few scenes in this movie that had me laughing uncontrollably. The kid who jumps into the splits and tap dances, the apple costume, and the slow motion scenes in the firemen's communal shower - just to name a few.
Watched this with my mom expecting it to be stupid, and it was actually pretty good. Further proves that Adam Sandler needs to just do serious movies instead of comedy.
I was expecting it to a comedy packed movie! Found funny in parts.. :S
Critic Reviews
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is a comedy of masquerade that Shakespeare might have written if he were pea-brained and talentless and had been commissioned to script an Adam Sandler movie.full review
With a tacked-on PC message and leaden attempts at humor, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is a movie that gives marriage, homosexuality, friendship, firefighters, children and nearly everything else a bad name.full review
If there were a Straight Lack-of-Pride Parade, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry could be the grand marshal. The movie isn't insulting to homosexuals but to comedy.full review
In the credits, the filmmakers acknowledge Brooklyn firefighters who died on 9/11. It's an honorable gesture, but what of the previous two hours? What of the scenes portraying firemen as cigar-chomping, homophobic, misogynistic chumps?full review
Even with Sandler up to his old tricks, he and James aren't really to blame for the failure of this movie-by-committee that throws a bunch of tired jokes against the wall and settles for the two or three that actually stick.full review
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry works hard at not being offensive. It just doesn't work hard enough at being good.full review
No comedy this year can beat this dud for mealy-mouthed hypocrisy.full review
It's a modern classic (despite a cheap-shot plug for Giuliani). By comparison, Hollywood's most celebrated gay comedies -- In and Out, Chuck and Buck, Blades of Glory, even the laughable Brokeback Mountain -- were all failures of nerve.full review
