This isn't the smartest or even the funniest comedy of all time, but it enjoys it's stupidity, and invites you to do the same. Steve Martin is charming, and he surrounds himself with a good cast. Including Aishwarya Rai, who i am ready to eclare one of the most beautiful actresses I have seen.
The best thing to do with this movie is to turn the brain off and enjoy. It works as good escapism, but if you put one iota of thought toward it, it will fall apart.

I thought I would never say this but the French Man with the non-french accent was about the best thing in this film. Kind of funny and all but at times a bit over the top........ I guess I should finally watch the originals....

corny yes, but I loved it, its the character and his phony french accent, so dumb that its hilarious

A work of slapsticky, accent-y gar-bage, The Pink Panther 2 is so brainlessly uninventive that it actually seems determined to sully the legacy of Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers's original series.

The actors are let down by the screenplay and direction, which don't really pop the supporting characters out into strong comic focus.
