This is a good family film, with a latent Christian message. And John Goodman gets pooped on. Take that Roseanne's TV husband! Enjoy!

Not the best sequel ever to be honest. Not a patch on the first but still rather amusing in places though some parts require judicious use of the FF button which is a shame as this has potential.

really nice, defiantly better than most of carell's other movies. good for what it is, a funny entertaining movie to pass the time with a smile. the cast is great, and morgan freeman is always brilliant :)

Kind of a basic warm family movie with a message. That doesn't make it funny though, or good in any other way.

Sequel to Bruce Almighty isn't as much fun as the original. There is some very entertaining parts, but the movie is just way too preachy at times.

For example when Noah started building the arc people thought he was crazy and thats what most of the people in the movie did. They thought that Evan was this psycho who didn't know what he was talking about.
However when the dam broke and the water gushed out the people who weren't the main congress men believed but the people who didn't believe suffered. That was taken from the bible as well.
Also the movie sends out the message that God has a plan for all of us but we don't know what that plan is.

The sum effect is mild yet strange, lacking both the zing of smart comedy and the cohesion of sensible plotting.

For a movie that's supposed to be about reconnecting with God and ourselves, and cherishing the Earth we live on, Evan Almighty is a surprisingly dispassionate picture.

Dressing thy star in vestments of outrageous design and a wig maketh not a joke.

The shamelessly juvenile, pseudo-religious, mock-sincere Evan Almighty is the most expensive Hollywood comedy ever made. Problem? It's not that funny.
