Werewolf of London predates the first Wolfman movie. It isn't a bad movie and has some aspects that are actually better (plot-wise). It is slower however and Hull isn't as sympathetic as Chaney Jr.

Another take on the the classic werewolf movie. The werewolf character in this one isn't as likeable as Lon Chaney in The Wolfman, and the old ladies obviously thrown in for comic relief are a little too slapstick. I'll stick with the 1941 version!

Greatly handled, Jekyll & Hyde-inspired werewolf tale that's armed with a strong script, a fabulous lead played by Henry Hull and a makeup that went on to inspire Eddie Munster. Well-made, if not really scary at all. Beware, however, the film is ex... (read more)

Possibly the weirdest werewolf movie because it has a science fiction feel and botany has a lot to do with the plot. Also this is the only werewolf who after transforming puts on more clothes. Terribly dated.

Great poster and not a bad movie. Its nice to watch an oldie and revel in the filmmaking of that the time. Digged the comic elderly ladies always drinking and punching each other out.

An interesting early werewolf movie is bascially ruined by being unatmospheric and having a cast that is forgotten as soon as the movie is over. Not the worst in the genre but just not memorable enough.

This flick was in many ways ahead of its time, and plotwise more sophisticated than the Lon Chaney Jr. version. It does involve some archetypes, but also a couple of more or less original types of characters at the time.
