After returning to Hogwarts to begin his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter discovers that much of the wizarding world, including the Ministry of Magic, is in denial about Lord Voldemort's return. The Order of the Phoenix, a group sworn against Voldemort, is using its vast array of wizards and witches magical abilities to combat Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic, suspects that Dumbledore is using these claims of The Dark Lord's return as a means to over-throw Fudge as Minister. In retaliation, a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher is appointed by the Ministry in order to keep an eye on Hogwarts. Really good, I really liked it even though some of the stuff wasn't from the book. I had to take half a star away tho because the ending made me really sad.
Very Enjoyable.... very dark and grown up Potter movie.... still doesnt match the best entry in the series, Goblet of Fire
Not the best Harry Potter movie ever. This was the most boring one ever. The wasn't good but the movie was a little bit better. Not that good though. I thought when Sirius died, I was hpoing it would be sadder. It wasn't that sad.
I was really taken with the shear force of evil coming from the actress who played Umbridge. Harry's reaction to his initial punishment, the dawning look of horror on his face, her bemused slightly condescending smile, I felt it was the best played moment in the entire series so far.
it was long book, so the film was in high tempo, and I didn't get all the things in the movie when I saw it first time. Better than third and fourth still!

This is more political but don't let that stop you, the acting gets better from the kids and the special effects are amazing! Though the scene when a certain someone dies wasn't that powerful, I could certainly feel the anger.
Krijgt 2 sterren omdat het HP is, maar komt in de verste verte niet meer bij de spanning van het boek.

Zijn klasgenoten willen niet geloven dat Voldemort terug is en het ministerie stuurt een afschuwelijke lerares. The Order of the Phoenix keert terug.
Critic Reviews
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the most rousing of the Potter films so far, and certainly one of the best.full review
Spectacular. Harry Potter is a true movie phenomenon. This one seals the deal. If you weren't hooked before, you will be now.full review
This is a gangly, confusing sprawl, and yet there are enough patches of beauty scattered throughout that it's impossible to reject it wholesale.full review
Whatever happened to the delight and, if you'll excuse the term, the magic in the Harry Potter series?full review
Continuing the increasingly darker, more adult trend of the series, the film version is swiftly paced, engrossing and often thrilling.full review
While the film doesn't have the imaginative magic of The Prisoner of Azkaban or the chummy warmth of The Goblet of Fire, it's a serviceable bridge to the story's final chapters.full review
The special effects continue to be masterful, but villains are given a new twist, and Order of the Phoenix is all the more fun because of it.full review
Although Order of the Phoenix is not a great movie, it is a pretty good one, in part because it does not strain to overwhelm the audience with noise and sensation.full review
Did I mention that, for all its portentousness, this is the best Harry Potter picture yet? In some ways, it improves on J. K. Rowling's novel, which is punishingly protracted and builds to a climactic wand-off better seen than read.full review
Order of the Phoenix, the best of the series so far, has the laughs, the jitters and the juice to make even nonbelievers wild about Harry.full review
