Struggling to keep them together, their rat sensei, Master Splinter, becomes worried when strange things begin to brew in New York City. Tech-industrialist Max Winters is amassing an army of ancient monsters to apparently take over the world. And only one super-ninja fighting team can stop them--those heroes in a half shell--Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael! With the help of old allies April O'Neil and Casey Jones, the Turtles are in for the fight of their lives as they once again must face the mysterious Foot Clan, who has put its own ninja skills behind Winters' endeavors. Making this new incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles truly cutting-edge, the film will be created entirely with state-of-the-art CG animation, giving them a completely new look for the 21st century.

Great animation, great story, great character relations, and pretty good writing. April, the Turtles, and Master Splinter all are present. Casey Jones is a character I didn't recognize, but from what I read he is from the old cartoons and the comics. Shredder is nowhere to be found, there are references made to him, but the foot clan is back. I would recommend this if not just for the laughs. Not to spoil, but there is a particularly funny part where Raphael is fighting one of the monsters in a cafe.
The animation and art direction captured the dark tones of the original comics very well and the fight scenes were interesting enough, but the concept was too unoriginal to appeal to adults, the voice acting was very average and the humour was better... Great movie, I just missed the classic evil guys, hope to see a new one with them included!

Good fun, wish it wasn't aimed so much at kids. But the fight scene in the rain has to be seen.
wow nice look and this one does not disappoint it only made me want to watch it again and so cool outstanding cast
Critic Reviews
It takes more than an awkward title attempting to sound cool to overcome its mundane plot and silly dialogue.full review
There's an attention to detail in the visuals and sound design that pushes it up several notches above most kiddie fare. It's not art, dude, but it will do.full review
Time stands still during the many feeble jokes; the Turtles comic book came out in 1984, the last year you could get a laugh just by ending a sentence with the word 'dude.'full review
