The over stylised filter used on this film may be one of it's worst points (300 this is not!) making the film drab and difficult to watch...although it does fight for first place. Overly thin characters and so little realism could've been forgiven if you could see what was going on half the time..... From a cheesy point of view, the devlish incarnations of Vikings are brutal and demonic in a cool way... but as I said before, not very real. Urban tries his best at being Arnie from Predator but with a poo script and no dialogue what can you do.... I get the feeling this movie would have been amusingly cheesy and a laugh without the silly bluebrown colouring (whacking the contrast and colour up stupidly high does make it quite striking in parts.), poor filming of the action, and the use of obvious stock footage during an avalanche....Not terrible by any means, just a bit frustrating to watch, and rather 'meh'......

Worth watching if you are into swords and armors movies. It's no Braveheart movie but it still good film.

A silly match-up of Indians vs Vikings. Some nice action reminiscent of Predator, but altogether there was very little investment in what was happening.

As far as a bloody battle movie goes, this is just as good as any if you don't expect the touching emotion of Braveheart.

Despite that feeling, I did appreciate how the cultural differences were portrayed, and the role that the main character Ghost played, standing on the threshold between the two. The manner in which the environments were captured, was indeed a pleasure to watch as well. The movie lacked any serious character development, more intense (not necessarily gory) actions scenes, and engaging dialogue. I don't that any serious movie goer would appreciate this film...

Vikings! I love them. The way they fight, drink and throw axes at beerhall wenches. This had better be good or Odin will smite thee.

Horribly bad. Poor acting and a nagging feeling that the producers wanted to make a fantasy movie instead.

(BTW I didn't even realize that this was a remake of a norwegian movie, which I liked.)
