Retool the concept with Will Ferrell in the lead and you've got a hit. Desperately in need of updating. 20 minutes in I started skipping around to see if it ever got funny. It didn't.

If modern comedy was anything like then I would watch them. This is comedy at its finest. Genius, simply genius.

Great classic comedy, and one of Bette Davis' best roles, in my opinion. Great viewing anytime, including Christmas. One of our family favorites!

Monty Woolley can make a line sizzle in your memory more than just about any other actor. Bette Davis shows a surprising amount of restrain in her performance, and Anne Sheridan is a master at her narcissistic glamour girl. Not many films can match this in pure enjoyability.
