Great cinematography, score, acting, well everything to be fair. 90 mins seemed to flash by is this highly emotional look into a women dealing with the death of her daughter and husband.

It is definitely a great movie but it could be quite a drag if one is not mentally prepared for such stifling expression of complex emotions. But the director did a wonderful job in accurately depicting those emotions. A great film always elicits some soul-searching, viz the best way to deal with grief is to embrace it, and find a way to channel it before it eats into your heart. In due course, one should attain freedom that sets you free, and you shall soar like an eagle. I have seen it happen before...

I wouldn't say that Kieslowski is the best director ever, in fact he is quite "B", quite too much romantic and than that emotionally blackmailing music, but .... it works. At least on me.

This incredibly emotional film was brilliantly captivating from start to finish. Binoche put on a stunning performance that gave this film an extra boost.

I love moments of beauty and powerful cinematography and this is one of the best of the best. It is of course a very sad movie and not necessarily for everyone, but this movie is full of poetic visual metaphors and some of the best acting/directing of any movie ever. The storyline is intriguing and I was on the edge of my seat almost like watching an action movie, but there is very little action, it's all about the emotions and lives of the characters but done EXTREMELY well.

Such a sad story, told with a really cool blue photography. Binoche at her best, in a really emotionally intense film.

Absolutely incredible in every way a film can be. Kieslowski never fails to amaze me with the beauty in his work.
