If you like the history of music and know elvis music this is for you, not everything is as its told (its not a docu) but its good and entertaining.

Excellent performance by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, who makes you believe he IS Elvis not just w/ the similarity in their faces, but w/ his movements, dialogue, and expressions. It was interesting to see the story of his family's dynamic and how it affected his career and motives, and heartbreaking how his manager, the Colonel, milked him for everything he was worth. Story jumps around a bit and I felt it could have been a bit slower w/ more focus given to each part of his life (in addition to showing more of his life all the way up to his death instead of stopping at his comeback concert), but overall the story is pretty satisfying. The lip synching is pretty distracting at first, but it becomes less obvious as the film goes on.

Reminded me a whole lot of Walk the Line, both films using many same techniques in portraying the lives of great musicians. Other great actors as well, and the film moved on in a good pace even though it was rather long.

anyway i don't recommend that one coz there is no need to watch a movie only because of the music. you can just buy cd.

ima BIG fan, and i watchesd this already 5 times...lol and still continuing..Jonathan playsa good role!!!

Meyers made an awesome Elvis. He is almost as good looking as Elvis was. The lip singing drove me crazy but other than that is was a good movie!

As an Elvis fan it was pretty interesting overall but something was missing to really make this good. The lip-synching was pretty brutal too.

Gah, I had such high hopes for this what with Jonathan Rhys Meyers portraying my new found god Elvis, but alas, JRM is no Elvis. I don't know who screwed up where, but it was just... wrong.
