meh.
i wasn't really feeling this film.
same old story about a bunch of women havin men troubles.
was shocked at all of the A-list celebrity actresses in this movie. I was confused at why they didn't show Meg Ryan's husband until I realized that they didn't show any males in this movie...ever. I was confused at why they didn't show Meg Ryan's husband until I realized that they didn't show any males in this movie...ever. Never saw this remake's original but this one was rather amusing. I wasn't pleased with the eventual acceptance of the infidelity theme as simply "a terrible mistake".
No termina de ser un drama, no es una comedia..no es una pelicula romantica...no se como clasificarla. No es una gran pelicula pero para un sabado a la tarde puede ser...
The Women...are sooooo boring and laden with every cliche in the book. The stories have been told a million tmes before and director English is apparently not a very creative story teller.
05/12/2009 Chick flick. Not to be taken seriously, of course. Was fun to see a movie with only women in it (men are just mentioned!) and all these great actresses together.
Very good cast but that's about it. Pretty lame and a bit annoying at times.
Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Two hours of my life I have lost forever to a movie with no redeeming features. Watching snails masturbate would have been a more productive use of my time.
Good god this was just 2 hours of moaning and bitching, complaing etc etc not recommended if you own and operate a penis
Considering the great cast I was disappointed with this movie. It was entertaining, and was funny in parts but I have seen better!
What a tremendous waste of talent on a drivel script which runs like "Sex and the City" on a tranquilizer fit for a whole farm of cows.

The funniest thing about The Women is that Mick Jagger is one of the producers. There was a knowing laugh in the theatre as his name sprang up in the opening credits -- our last chance to laugh, as it turned out, for the next two hours.full review
Nothing more, but nothing less than just hilarious flat-out fun that manages to top 'Sex And The City' in every way imaginable.full review
Though aspects of the 1939 comedy seem silly and shrill now, they were at least consistently entertaining. Where the original was deliciously loopy and melodramatic fun, this one is watered-down, sappy and earnest.full review
Fourteen years in the making, The Women marks a serviceable directorial debut for English.full review
It hurts especially to watch Ms. Bening and Candice Bergen (who plays Mary's mother) lend their wit and dignity to a project that has so little of its own.full review
What a pleasure this movie is, showcasing actresses I've admired for a long time, all at the top of their form.full review
The Women has a cast to die for - Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Candice Bergen, Carrie Fisher - in a film that dies before our eyes.full review
A big-name cast of actresses gives it a go, but everyone from Meg Ryan as the cheated-on wife to Eva Mendes as the home-wrecking perfume girl struggles with a script that resists being crowbarred into the 21st century.full review
This new version of The Women fails to celebrate its characters as women.full review
