thats suposed to be action right? Good attempt on story (tho failed) gained this movie half of star
i wasn't at all interested in seeing this movie, but i watched it on tv and ejoyed it! it was diff and the effects were awesome!
Yikes. Once again, Nicholas Cage does this thing where he gets in front of the camera and starts talking. Some may call it acting, but they are mistaken.
While it boasts some decent special effects, at heart this film is just as soulless as the demon who possesses Cage's body in times of jeopardy. Cinderblock acting, horrible pacing, and literally no sense of drama consign this film to the scrap heap ... (read more) While it boasts some decent special effects, at heart this film is just as soulless as the demon who possesses Cage's body in times of jeopardy. Cinderblock acting, horrible pacing, and literally no sense of drama consign this film to the scrap heap of superhero adventures. The filmmakers can't seem to commit to any particular focus: is the Ghost Rider a good guy, or a bad guy who's just going after even badder guys? It sends a mixed message if he goes after street punks roughing up bystanders when he himself--or should I say "it itself"--is a creature of total malevolence. And why, oh, why does every battle seem to end in under 60 seconds? Good grief, the antagonist is supposedly the son of the Devil; if he can't even put up a fight, what hope does the rest of the Marvel pantheon have? All this is to overanalyze the film when its main problem is that it's just drop dead stupid. Points for trying, Marvel... but if you're going to commit to a multi-million project, at least get a good screenplay out of it! Points also to Christopher Young who, although he must have realized the movie was going to stink, still turned in an absolutely great horror/western/modern rock score. Listen to that, and imagine what could have been a decent take on a modern Faustian legend.
Aunque Nicolas Cage no es de mis favoritos, esta pelicula consigue el fin para la que fue hecha, pasar cerca de dos horas entretenido...

The real evil in this flick isn't Blackheart (Wes Bentley), the devil's son, it's the soul-sucking devil of modern cinema: Hollywood formula.full review
Its clear this director has sold HIS soul to a bunch of special effects wizards who certainly supply the hardware but drown out the human element.full review
Ghost Rider isn't good but if you catch the spirit of it, it's not terrible.full review
Ghost Rider is the kind of movie that's great stupid fun as long as someone else is buying the tickets.full review
The best that can be said about this movie, which is quite bad, is that it's not a complete surprise.full review
The movie could have been saved, though, if it had cut the puns of the kind that made us all flee Batman and Robin.full review
