Simple horror flick about Hoodoo/Voodoo. Nicely acted and well made, with a delicious twist ending...
Interesting but kind of lame. Predictable towards the end and not too many thrills that want you to keep watching.
Too bad I was able to guess the end... If I didn't know earlier that it came with a twist, I might have watched it with more fun :-(
This movie was much better than I anticipated. It kept me guessing. I really liked it and I usually won't watch frightening movies. This was more suspense. I loved the music.

The ending is what made it so good - great twist, and done so well! I've always loved the New Orleans creepiness feeling, so that helped my liking of it. And man, was that old lady freaky...Not the best, but definitely not the worst. I'd love to see it again.

A blundering New Orleans-set thriller under the spell of archaic stereotypes about Southern Bayou blacks.full review
[D]oesn't seem to promise much going in ... but its eerie premise lingers in your mind. It may not qualify as a true ghost story, but it's still pretty haunting.full review
There's lots of bad stuff brewing on the bayou in this occasionally scary but more often silly movie, which wastes some good actors along the way.full review
The film offers a rich gumbo of menace, mystery and magic - and then lets it go cold and mushy in a rainstorm of Hollywood haunted-house huggermugger.full review
The Skeleton Key is one of those movies that explains too much while it is explaining too little, and leaves us with a surprise at the end that makes more sense the less we think about it. But the movie's mastery of technique makes up for a lot.full review
