Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. The film is a journey of the heart that examines the relationships between men and women, between races and the social divisions that have clipped away the foundation of our humanity. We are given a glimpse into how life can be drastically changed in a moment in time, an indelible event in our nation's history. The characters are ordinary American's who find themselves at the epicenter of one of the most important incidents of the 20th Century. "Bobby" is not a political story, though politics are certainly an undercurrent. It is not the story of Bobby Kennedy (seen solely in newsreel footage). Rather, it is the story of all of us. "Bobby" is seen through the eyes of 22 characters. The hope, excitement and notion that a change is in the air, which Kennedy ignited in us all, black and white, rich and poor, young and old was extinguished that evening in June.

very Robert Altman-esque in the style of Nashville.
Loved it though. All-star cast
good realistic show for Robert F.Kenedy suicide at Ambassador Hotel's kitchen.if you like the watch realistic historical events ,that cast would be more helpful for you.
Not the Altman-esque saga Estevez seems to have wanted, it still had its' moments.
Wonderful cast tells a depressing story that really affects you. The hope bobby brought to the nation is very evident

The film has more stars than you could shake a galaxy at and is in my opinion impossible to watch without feeling connected to at least one of the many protagonists (in my case, it was the Elijah Wood character). The last fifteen minutes when Bobby is shot and his speech "On the mindless menace of violence" plays over a montage of the characters and their reactions to the tragedy are especially moving and had silent tears running down my face. Granted, all of the characters besides Bobby are fictional or fictional versions of real people that have had the names changed (for instance, not one of the people wounded in the kitchen in the movie was there, if they even existed in the first place), but that's a little thing and should in no way detract from the power of this movie.

Telling the story of people (not real?) who were around Bobby Kennedy when he was shoot... A lot of famous actors and actresses... passable I think ...
Brilliantly made and well acted. Filled with talent amoung talent. A film that reminds us to have faith in one another and teaches us to learn from our mistakes. Great film worth watching!
A great film & truly stellar cast. Sensitively written, both entertaining and moving. Highly recommended.
I love ensemble casts and this one's a doozy. A lot of the subplots weren't as interesting as others and I could've used more screentime with certain actors and characters rather than others but I was still entertained throughout. The music was great, the acting was solid and while it didn't tread any new ground in terms of a story, I still found a lot to like. Surprisingly enough, my favourite plotline was Lindsay Lohan marrying Elijah Wood so he wouldn't have to go to Vietnam. Just the way they play it and with the denouement and everything, it made me fall in love with Lindsay Lohan again. I mean, she was already awesome for marrying him in the first place just to keep him from going to war, but when she told Elijah Wood that she didn't want to get an annulment, I got a little teary-eyed. That girl's a keeper.
I enjoyed the premise, I understood what Estevez was trying to accomplish, I got it, I liked it despite obvious flaws

Ultimately rises above its inadequacies; it's an earnest tribute to a time gone by, and to a symbol of hope.full review
A lot of quick, character-defining cameos, which makes the movie play out like a pilot for a sprawling prime-time television show.full review
Despite the clunkiness, Estevez's commitment to his father's generation's idealism (and its murder) commands respect.full review
One of the year's best pictures, an unforgettable motion picture experience with an outstanding cast that shines brightly right down to the smallest part.full review
Estevez means well. But having your heart in the right place is no excuse for insipid ineptitude.full review
The archival Kennedy clips aside, the excited radiance of these young characters' faces (and many of them are just extras) may be the best thing about Bobby.full review
Despite its flaws, its intriguing premise leaves us haunted by thoughts of 'What if?'full review
With Bobby, Emilo Estevez tries to link the intimate stories of nearly two dozen characters to a large and consequential public event the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.
