But, how can his legwork get done now? Via the very much alive Sondra Pransky. Sondra is an American journalism student visiting friends in London. During a stage performance by another American, magician Sid Waterman, Sondra is shocked to find herself able to see and hear Joe. From beyond, he gives her the scoop of a lifetime and urges her to pursue it. Sondra immediately starts chasing the big story, enlisting the aid of a reluctant Sid. That chase leads right to handsome British aristocrat Peter Lyman. Soon, Sondra finds that the romance of her life may well be the dangerous scoop she's looking for.

I have always like him but his move to England to make movies has really improved his plot and style of movies!! He has found a new star in Scarlett Johansson and she has been in his latest 3 movies. Its kind of English murder mystery with the leads provided to Johansson (the journalist) by a Dead journalist (Ian McShane) Woody Allen is the comic magician. Hugh Jackson the upper crust British possible serial killer. This movie IS NOT a silly distracting failure but a very cute funny intellectual comedy set in the social setting of the British Upper Crust!! Woody Allen has written and directed (by himself) 40 films why are we not celebrating his success in movie making and directing!! This film is much better than Match Point. "Scoop" wasn't as bad as critics made it out to be... it was, as many Allen films are, a somewhat of gimmicky plot which end the end floated into into the usual Allen comedy. The movie ended nicely with a comic ending. (which was very good!!) recommended 4 stars. Watch this movie Enjoy!! I have changed my mind I think Match Point is better than Scoop. I enjoyed them both.
Another quirky, adorable Woody Allen movie. Scarlett Johansson is witty and charming, and Ian McShane is extremely funny.
Decent enough film with some good performances. Storyline was sound, if not predictable at times. It was labelled comedy but only mildly amusing would be fairer. It certainly wasn't athriller but enough to entertain on a wet thursday evening.
More enjoyable than I expected. It's nice to see Woody Allen still acting in one his movies too.
