The film is loosely based on Burt Munroe's life, but I think the movie does a good job at showing the iron determination that he had in modifying his bike over 30 years. He took a 1920's bike with a top speed of 60 MPH and turned into a 200+ MPH record holder after 30+ years of custom modification, many of which he hand made. Interesting character, probably worth reading about him as well.

A very simple story but expertly told and Hopkins in one of his best performances in a long while. A real feel good movie.

Anthony Hopkins low keys it but still is 100% inspirational. Catch the movie trailer, with the Clash' Police on My Back as Hopkins races his bike down a beach. It will make you want to race!

Anthony Hopkins is no disappointment as the most likeable character who ever lived. Its been sometime since a movie has left me with such a wide smile and if you havent seen this movie, do, at least once. You'll be a better person for it.
