The main problem with the movie is, that it obviously tries to reach the typical Hollywood audience. It's simply not confronting enough. Because it isn't, we can divert attention to other subjects of the movie...and they are all bad. First of all, this is supposed to be about those girls and the horror of abduction, rape, physical and psychological oppression and the utter lack of hope for them. Instead, HT focuses mostly on some good-looking, narcissistic cop who has a personal agenda. Great. On top of it, she's portrayed by a terrible actor. (We laughed out loud when Donald Sutherland says: "You have many skills. Acting is not one of them." Too ironic.)
This is a topic that needs either to be treated as a very intimate and personal story - or with the full force of the horror these women and kids go through. Basically, let's hope some European directors come up with a movie on it.

Muy buena pelicula sobre el trafico sexual de mujeres. Buena historia, mucho drama pero como que me falto mas pelicula, el final se vino muy de repente y de forma tragica. Muy Recomendable.

I only saw this movie last night on television and I was shocked about the number of kids used for human trafficking they showed. There are sooo many 'sick' people in this world!!! Homeland Security, go for it!!

amazing movie about a disturbing subject. Great acting from a mostly french canadian cast, though all performed in english. Would have to be my favorite Donald Sutherland performance since M*A*S*H
