I'm not as big of a fan of this movie as many people are, so maybe I have to see it again. But it was just ok, nothing that amazing
A truly heartfelt dark comedy. The acting in this movie was excellent. I'm glad that I finally gave this movie a chance since I was skeptical about seeing it when it originally came out.

The characters are believable, as they exist in our everyday world. The family life is right on track with reality (dysfunctional reality, I should say). The performances are incredible, the story constantly surprises, and the laughs are from deep inside. The film is not exactly perfect, hence the half star from five. For some reason, the opening music was just annoying, and the film just doesn't quite amount to a five star rating. It sure is close, though. When a family's daughter has been selected to compete in the LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE pageant in California, they load up in their VW Bus and set out, encountering many mis-adventures along the way.
Amazing. Hilarious and heart wrenching/warming. I really loved this movie. And Steve Carell as a depressed suicidal homosexual makes me happy :)
Even though the entire family was dysfunctional it was a pretty good movie! Their road trip to California really brought them closer as a family and were able to deal with a lot of things.
Funny and very moving all at once, watched it many times and it is still a wonderful feel good movie

... a scrappy human comedy that takes an honest path to laughs and is twice as funny and touching for it.full review
... an amusing movie, viciously well-written and brilliantly acted.full review
[S]mart and funny and, at times, delightfully caustic.full review
Don't even think about missing this one! Sparked a bidding war at Sundance and is worth every penny. Riotously funny!full review
Little Miss Sunshine isn't the kind of movie you want to beat up on: It's sweet-tempered at its core, and even when it's trying too hard to reinforce its own quirks, the charms of its actors filter through effortlessly.full review
Little Miss Sunshine is a dysfunctional-family comedy with a crucial difference -- the function progresses, hilariously, from dys to full and loving.full review
There is nothing inherently sunny about Little Miss Sunshine, and that's part of the fresh and clever lunacy of this deliciously dark comedy.full review
Little Miss Sunshine is an enchanting anthem to loserdom -- a dark comedy that piles on setback after setback and yet never loses its helium.full review
