Well....the experiment failed miserably. The point was completely muddled. The storyline was like a splat: it started & then went in many different directions but leading to nothing but a dead end. Skip this and watch grass grow - it would be much more riveting.
Imagine David Lynch's "Inland Empire," cut in half, with more famous actors, mediocre to terrible performances, more self-conscious grandiosity and pretension, less thought out surrealism, and references to John Webster's "The Duchess of Malfi."
Absolutely dire. I only watched this because I was too weak from sickness to reach for the remote control and turn it off ...
i can't see why experimental usually means boring. i loved the split screen and rhys ifans gives a very good performance. BUT there's no story, it's just wank. i gave up after one hour. oh, i forgot: the milky press-ups scene is awesome!
The only way to make it worse is to take away the boobies. And even then, it wouldn't be that much worse
This is pretentious arty up its own arse pointless bullshit at its worst. All style, no substance and I didn't even care for the style.
Not even the boobies could save this one...
I'm torn between admiring this movie for the risks it takes and hating it for being a boring, amateurishly made piece of shit. Oh wait, no I'm not.
This serious art experimental fimmaking. Go Mike Figgis! Interesting, funny, bizarre and with name actors too!
Never see this movie! It was so aweful, I couldn't finish, never see you will feel like you wated 2 hrs of ur life!
This was a very interesting film.
Done in the digital style which added to the intrigue of the fiilm.
I actually enjoyed this movie more than Timecode, which Figgis also did, because Timecode was a good experiment but Hotel is actually interesting.
