Run of the mill jungle action film but the uncut version has an excellent death scene which sadly was the highlight of the film.

Also, it's always nice to see Michael Berryman in films.

The centre of the film is a cut-price re-run of Apocalypse Now, with a death-loving renegade colonel lording it over a tribe of natives and committing atrocities against those in the drug trade. Deodato is a consummate action director - no one quite conjures up jungle-based unease like him; the media world is nearly as sordid here as in Cannibal Holocaust; and the gore-moments are really eye-poppingly gratuitous. All adds up to a really foul vision of human depravity, although the script is no carefully-plotted machine.

Deodato's awesome jungle adventure with more evil media tones. Michael Berryman kills a bunch of people, and lots of explosions and death. It rules.

Great stuff from Deodato. Love Richard lynch as a Jim Jones like nut colonel. Michael Barryman also delivers a great role. Great score from Claudio Simonetti (Goblins)

Exhilarating jungle massacre from genre maestro Ruggero Deodato. Bears a similar message to Cannibal Holocaust on modern media, also. Lately, however, this action/exploitation classic has been maligned by critics and audiences alike.
