I looked at the synopsis and thought: Hmmm, this looks like some potentially interesting paracinema. I mean, whores for Hitler, doesn't really sound that great. But it was at least good enough to convince me that it was legitimate film, like an actual movie. It's no Fassbinder, but despite my doubts, the characters, story, acting - it actually hangs together. It certainly has a lot more nudity than most legitimate cinema, but it's actually a fine piece of work that manages to legitimize its most of its excesses. I wonder if anyone ever saw it because it's politics are obviously worth studying, but I agree with another reviewer that it shows Nazi Germany "as a rotting carcass," which is not a terrible start.

The daddy of Naziploitation movies. What makes this nazi movie stand out so much is that Tinto Brass can actually make movies. Fun, silly, messed up, detestable, strange, hilarious and often compelling and entertaining.

What could have been an excellent look at Nazi exploitation, this film comes across a slow, soft-porn version of Cabaret.

It's also a perfect marriage of his 60s avante-garde style and post 70s "mainstream erotic" phase. A masterpiece!

Sex with a decapitated midget, pigs slaughtering, Nazi indoctrination, Hitler obsession. . . in the midst of this madness, there emerges love, maternal wisdom, submissive philosophy, and spicy, revengeful justice in Salon Kitty.
Though well-known for his sexploitation films, Tinto Brass' Salon Kitty is less dependent on its pornographic notoriety, and more on glamorizing female integrity and humaneness, even though they are whores. The director's talent in both storytelling and its conceptualization really shines in this film. The use of Nazi as a symbol for tyranny against Madame Kitty's inner dignity and beauty is sensational.

Heroines are whores.

This movie was not only a good sexsploitation film, but it also had pretty awesome cinematography given the budget & so on. & I am actually in the process of looking for the soundtrack, Kitty's songs were quite amusingly catchy.

Bleh. I do not understand how everyone loves this film. It's trash. There are a few great entries in the Nazi exploitation cycle. This is not really anything special. Bigger budget than most. Not much more interesting.

Pretty much a big budget nazisploitation with fantastic production, simultaneously eroticising and rejecting Nazism. The endless repetition of the sex scenes bored me, though there is much merit here too.
