He teams up with Danny Aiello to stop badguys or something. The plot isn't very clear. There is a fight in a bath house that is very similar to the one in Rush Hour. They even get defeated after. The action gets better at the end, but this is a very different movie for Chan. Normally his films are light comedy with prop martial arts action. This was just a cop flick with him in it.
Two New York cops are sent to Hong Kong to rescue a kidnapped fashion designer's daughter from a drug lord. Only reason to really watch is to see Chan's stunts and martial arts. Like real life, Big John Studd dies too soon in this as well.
Jackie Chan in a Chinese produced cheesy 80s American action flick. A couple of alright fights and a few decent stunts with Jackie swearing make this worth seeing for Chan Fans.

At the height of the 80's, his talent, skill, charisma and humour were all supressed by one James Glickenhaus, who directed The Exterminator. He even got fun-loving Jackie to swear in it. This film has one or two good fight scenes but the Hong Kong version of this was so much better. Glickenhaus had no idea how to handle Jackie's cinematic martial skills, and as such, this vehicle proved to be such a waste of time for Jackie, so much so that he reshot some of the fight scenes and introduced Sally Yeh and a sub-plot into the Hong Kong version. Despite this, I don't think he saved it, so he went off to make the far better Police Story instead, to show Hollywood how a Jackie Chan movie, should be made. His final battle with Bill Wallace proved to me that despite all his Kickboxing bravado and his superfast "Superfoot", Bill and Jackie failed to gel.
See Police Story instead.....!
the usual omg wtf happpened. amount of time endured watching it: 9 mins.
Horrible acting, not many stunts, random boat chase. Still... I love Jackie.
Jackie Chan's partially re-directed and re-filmed version. Good action, great stunts, no cgi... that's for sure.
This was a good movie, My favorite Jackie Chan movie is The Big Brawl.
Notable for Big John Studd's appearance. Director mostly wastes Jackie Chan's talent. A few head-scratching moments here, notably the drug smuggling operation.
This movie sucks. Kind of fun to watch if you dont care that it sucks, but it still sucks.
