The ensemble cast performed pretty well in this, especially Allen Payne and Jada Pinkett. A very great example of Black Cinema that holds up well.

(read more) Another first of the contemporary "black noir" films with all the elements I love to watch over and over: love story, sex without being vulgar, conflict, challenge, drama and love conquers all. Yeah, you pretty much know how these movies end and if they don't end well, I get irritated, because I go to "escape reality" when I go to this type of movie, not get hit over the head with it. And Allen Payne's a** looked great!! That was worth 5 stars!
