A very unusual Jackie Chan film, and a likewise unusual role for Sammo Hung. The film isn't bad, per se, but it does seem like a bit of a waste to have Jackie and Sammo hanging around together and NOT kicking tons of ass as they do so. There's a bit of action here and there, with some good sequences, but the bulk of the movie is a sort of brother's-keeper story where Jackie has to choose between being a sailor or staying home and taking care of his mentally challenged sibling. Those looking for a high-flying, crazy Jackie Chan action picture will likely be disappointed.

This is the only Jackie Chan movie to make me cry. Great performances from Chan and Hung that elevated it from being a simple kung fu flick. Much more of a drama than an action film.
