The writing/directing was a bit too black & white almost to the point that it was racist. It may have been an attempt to promote Chinese nationalism, but it was a bit over the top. Despite that, this may still be Bruce's best performance.

After The Big Boss, the budget got higher and they made this masterpiece of Asian cinema. It's got more fighting, and a much better story. The action is great and it's got funny humor. Bruce Lee is in top form with all his intense facial expressions and fury behind his yelling and noise-making. Awesome in every regard. Bruce Lee versus Japan. An interesting side note... Bruce Lee's dead teacher is actually the person that Jet Li's Fearless was about.
While "The Big Boss" has a Shaw Brothers feel to it, "Fist of Fury" is vintage Bruce Lee. I enjoy the part where Bruce Lee wears horned rim glasses and looks like a nerd. I also enjoy the fights.
Kiinalaisen huipputaisteliijan mestariopettaja murhataan.

+ This second remastered film had four fights with Bruce Lee, which is twice as many as was in his first film, "Big boss".
- Long long movie, needs more fights and about halfway it gets too slow paced and even a bit dull.

I bought this DVD second on my Lee collection so I watched it right after the first movie. Basically, better fights and story than in the first film, but the story progresses even slower than in the first movie. Too much talking in the middle of the film makes this tedious, except the four fights with Lee, with Nunchakus and even Katanas, which are very well done. Despite its slow pace and -quite frankly- dullness, I think its a bit better than the first film because of the better fights it has. Although it has a bit questionable motive, violent revenge, its still quite enjoyable watching and Lee kicks *utt. Lee's own style can be seen, but a lot of typical movie-fighting strikes are still evident. A cool fighting film classic.
bruce lee viciously murdering the SHIT out of japanese people with his bare hands? SIGN ME UP.
also acts as a sort-of-prequal to jet li's not-so-good hero.
The Chinese name of this movie is ç²¾æ¦é(Jing Wu Men). Enjoy watching every movement of Bruce Lee!
