(read more) The 7th and final entry in the Children of the Corn series (well, the final one before they decided to "reboot" it and remake the original for the Sci-fi Channel) goes urban again as a young woman goes to the projects to find her missing grandmother. There's no sign of her, so she stays at the condemned apartment building hoping to find her, but instead, she gets a wacky array of tenants (stripper, militia man, handicapped senior with tourette's, and a stoner) and, of course, a bunch of creepy ass kids running around. Soon, all of the tenants are wiped out and they come after this boring lead woman who, personally, I wanted to see get killed. Michael Ironside does a quick drive by as a priest who just serves as time filler (though wastes the time more like it). All in all, this put the kibosh on a slowing decaying franchise....that is, until the remake. The only highlight of this film was seeing the gorgeous Crystal Lowe (the stripper) as well as her large titties, which seemed to have shrunk between then and her recent titty shots in Wrong Turn 2. Be that as it may, she definitely got prettier.

Our heroine is in search of her grandma, who just so happened to survive a "tent revival" when she was a little girl. He Who Walks Behind The Rows is a lot like Death from the FINAL DESTINATION movies except you can obviously escape the former if you just relocate to a new city. This sequel is a more ghostly take on the story, but doesn't really scare. Most of the movie takes place in a rundown apartment building, which provides the victims -- one of which is a stripper, and you can't be a stripper in a movie like this without an obligatory nude scene. The only plusses for me are the blood-filled corn-eating scenes and the Michael Ironside cameo as a priest who references Gatlin.

Yet she still decides to share a lift with them and obviously thinks that is only a bit odd and doesn't get too concerned. When that is the start, it's only going to go down hill. She later displays more idiocy by taking a walk around a dark creepy neighborhood, looking nervous but still not turning back. And we all take a walk down a dim alley when there is a priest standing there over a pentagram drawing, all lit by the moon.
Like many lazy horror films, this should have been called 'Adventures of a moronic fool'.

Just saw this. I kind of called what was happening with the kids, but it was fun to watch. Carl and I kept yelling about the blood corn vs the God tomatos.

All right the Corn Gods are coming out for the 7th time. Same old crap. Children kill adults and usually a corn god of some sort is involved. I stomached through all 7.

The final (God I hope) installment bears little resemblence to those that came before it. These movies really scare me but only because of how much money was wasted to make them and how terrible most of them really are.

The last instalment of 'Children of the Corn" is pretty low budget and a rehash of all the others. You have the creepy kids, the corn fields, the brutal deaths. All in all there really is no point in seeing this. The first 'Children of the Corn" was one of my favourite movies, this is not. Some characters were interesting, but killed off why too soon. The old man in the wheelchair who cussed a lot was a prime example. I just really hope they don't make an eighth sequel like I heard they were considering.
