A good effort and a mostly succesful throwback to blaxploitation horror. This was nearing the end of the time where Snoop Dogg was cool and he milks it here. Could have been much better but still good for what it is.

Even the plot was borderline retarded. A guy goes into hell to save his girlfriend, but when she tells him that his brother is dead he's like "whatever then, let's go" doesn't check to make sure she's not lying. Doesn't go into hell to save him, just "eh, he's just my brother, whatever, i got a girl now..." bad bad bad.

Good flick, worth a watch, not as much gore as you'd expect but damn some fine effects, and a crazy death scene..My only real complaint is the 2nd half, after Snoop's Jimmy Bones is resurrected, seems rushed.. Spend an hour setting things up, only to flash the revenge angle within 10 minutes.. If they'd given the movie maybe another 15-20mins might've been worth another star.. But I say, if you like Snoop, or you like a quick horror flick, give this a shot.

It's 1979 Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dog) is a hustler who used to run the streets but one day is gunned down by a corrupt cop (Michael T. Weiss) and left to die Fast foward to the present day The neighborhood becomes a different place and a group of friends decide to make Jimmy's old place into a disco. But Jimmy has other plans for them and for the people who wronged them. As I said this was an impressive little horror film it still scares me today.

I used to hate this film when it first came out, but watching it now, its so funny! Worth a watch just for the 70's flashback sequences! Oh no that dogs got red eyes- yeah cos that looks realistic! lol

Incredibly terrible. According to the film's creators, blood is thick and orange. Any horror movie that fails at even fake blood is serious bad news.
