I usually like most movies that Bruce Willis is in, and I have the same birthday as him lol (March 19th)
Solid willis action movie with a good surrounding cast. Wills does his normal awesome thing
It is a typical Bruce Willis film. There is nothing more to say about it, nothing the fact that it is mediocre film that I would catch on HBO.
Decent enough. Willis (legend) is as good as ever. The thug teens fucked me off though. Decent direction by Siri who maintains the tention throughout. Just a little bog standard to be anything better than a decent enough flick.
Clichéd but decent enough entertainment if you have nothing else to do. Ben Foster is always great.
Critic Reviews
Speaking of torture, if you dig it, by all means lock yourself up for two hours with Hostage, which begins by administering electric shocks to your viscera and keeps upping the voltage.full review
Willis plays a man with a past whose nightmare returns when a hostage drama reopens old wounds, blah, blah, blah...full review
Bruce Willis, who feels like a resident of action thrillers, not a visitor, dials down here into a man of fierce focus and private motives.full review
The script is clever without ever being smart, the violence is showy but not cathartic, and the performances are, to put it kindly, a mixed bag.full review
A Heaven Can Wait DVD figures prominently in Hostage, but there's more hellfire than wit or romance in Florent Siri's thriller.full review
