I use to have this on VHS when I live on the Res. I must've watched it a hundred times. Still love it.

This really isn't Jackie Chan's best work. He didn't choreograph the fights, nor can he speak English, and everything in this movie feels like it was shot in slo-motion. It's probably not Jackie's worst film but there's very little to recommend it.
Im not big on martial arts films, but Gerry told me I need to see it so I need to check it out

Only a faulty piece of premise-generating software could have come up with something like that. Chan's best films are glorious messes, but this is just a mess (albeit one that's a lot of fun to laugh at if you're drunk and with a large group of friends).
This movie was an absolute mess. I couldn't figure out what the time period was supposed to be-roller derby in the 30s, marching bands with mellophones (wouldn't be invented until much later)? top rating , was my first Jackie Chan films not badly dubbed or subtitled and it blew me away as a kid , still a great movie
Not bad for one of Jackie's first efforts on the Western Front but it feels like he should have been given more say in the choreographing of stunts and fight scenes. JC's first English movie. Quite decent. You can clearly see the difference between the movies he produces himself in HK and what Hollywood has to offer. It's a no contest which one I prefer.
