I like the cinematography and the setting a lot. It's an interesting film I recommend it. The sound on the dvd is a little muffled but it's not that bad. The lead actress playing the wife author gone mad is really good in it.

What makes this film so magical is that it challenges the audience. Altman has always claimed that films should not be casually viewed and that they should hold an audience's attention. This is probably his best personal example.
