So sad. I read one review which described it as similar to Romeo and Juliet, which I guess is true as far as the forbidden love aspect goes. But I know it's not that simple.

Very sad movie...very simple, a little risque. A variation of star-crossed lovers. If it was made with a larger budget, would have easily gotten some oscar noms.

I kept waiting for the scene where Gaenor says "You had sex with me twice and lied about even your name?!" but the writer-director must not have been interested in that emotional payoff.

Very awesome movie--go Welsh! It was so romantic and heart breaking. Dealt with some heavy class/social issues in pre-wwI times in Wales.
