A judge sentences Haley to her ultimate nightmare -- attending an elite gymnastics academy run by legendary hardnosed coach Burt Vickerman. Haley's rebellious spirit and quick-witted banter quickly shakes things up at the strict school - making both close friends and bitter foes along the way. Haley surprises herself as she discovers an unexpected ally in the form of her new coach, and learns respect is a two-way street. Haley, Vickerman, and a group of his elite athletes band together to confront a major championship and prove that loyalty, friendships and individual athletes matter more than rules, judges or scores.

Awesome, awesome movie. Great for the kids, great for the parents. Missy Peregrym rocks in this role!
Very Bring It On-esque. You see it once and there is no need to see it again
Bahaha what kind of judge would send someone to gymnastics school? Really.
this is my favourite movie! partly because it's hilarious but mostly because it's about GYMNASTICS!!!!!!!!
I wish this movie existed without the whole rebellious thing. Which kind of undermines the whole script, actually. But the reason that I still enjoyed it is for the gymnastics and only for the gymnastics. Missy Peregrym is freaking TERRIBLE actress.
What happens when they rebel. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually kind of liked it. Almost makes me wish I had stayed in gymnastics - almost. It was not bad though. I might even maybe watch it again.

"You know boys?"
"Yeah, they're called friends. You should try it sometime."
"Call me."
"Stalk you."
Critic Reviews
Yes, we're in the world of elite gymnastics, and Jessica Bendinger's Stick It is an enjoyable exercise in girl power.full review
Rarely is a sports movie so inept that it can't even make its central figure likable.full review
Stick It uses the story of a gymnast's comeback attempt as a backdrop for overwrought visual effects, music videos, sitcom dialogue and general pandering.full review
Stick It may be tough to stick out unless you're a girl between the ages of 11 and 16.full review
In terms of eye candy, Stick It is a feast. Unfortunately, the film is a famine in just about every other regard.full review
Jessica Bendinger looks to do for gymnastics what her Bring It On did for cheerleading: namely, give a stereotypically girlie-girl activity some defiant, individualistic attitude.full review
