the first half is great, the second is less so. becomes weighed down by it's own issues, instead of being about and following characters like 'cool hand luke' etc. had done. very solid stuff though, and some impressive acting.

Strong at the time it was made and a good cast of names. Well-filmed but a bit slow in places. A must-see for a Redford fan, but is not a classic in the style of Cool Hand Luke etc.
