A showcase for the explosive skills of demolitions experts, Blown Away has got some impressive action sequences, although the story is somewhat convoluted and mean-spirited. Suzy Amis (Titanic) costars as Bridges's endangered girlfriend, who becomes a target of Jones's destructive scheme. --Jeff Shannon

I love this. The Bridges family kicking ass.
Prefer it to Speed (apart from the comedy Boston Irish accents from all) thoguh I have seen this significantly more.
I think that this is very good movie.I liked it.Very suspece scenes, great story, great actors, great music....
it could have been better but it wasn't bad! The only thing i thought that could have helped was if tommy lee jones would have been alittle crazier or angry!!!
The flat script blows away any chance the quality actors had of making a good movie.

I assume the fact that the mad bomber builds all of his devices while listening to a number of U2 songs is complete... (read more) Appalling musical choices and rubbish Oirish accents throughout. It either gives a tense diffusing scene or an explosive alternative. The ending climax is especially entertaining, and Tommy Lee Jones plays a great psychotic bomber. This is what entertainment should be like. Its action packed, but doesn't sacrifice character development or plot.
