A strange and interesting British film. Another that affects the subconscious more than anything. A film about a mystery but is more a sombre moody character film.
Despite it's difficult structure, "Wetherby" is a haunting film, because it dares to suggest that the death of a complete stranger can not only touch you, but force you to decide how alive you really are.
Miserable and profound, a down-trodden life experience of some intellectuals down in northern Britain, a capture of the melancholy of Leeds where I lived at that time.
Another movie where one of the Richardson sisters plays either the daughter or the younger version of their real mother Vanessa Redgrave? I'm so there
