You can only do so much with cults, kids, and death before the whole thing goes south. Should have stopped after the second installment.

The title sequence is decent, but once the "teenagers" show up it gets stupid. The first death is just ridiculous... a girl randomly wanders away from her boyfriend and begins to collect armfuls of corn. Well, if anything we know not to go into the fields in this series. The second bunch is driving around with a cremated friend, who died from a bungee accident. Whoa. The movie is 83 minutes long, but the only redeeming moments come in the final 20 minutes. The standoff between cult "leader" David Carradine and sheriff Fred Williamson provides the best effects. Eva Mendes (Mendez here) is a nice surprise, but doesn't show the skin you've come to expect from a grieving girlfriend in this genre (although there is a brief upskirt shot in her final scene). The weirdest thing about this movie was seeing Alexis Arquette as a man with a goatee.

A few clichés and the last 30 was really weak. The movie was fairly predictable, and not very scary at all. The thing I liked best was the twist end the last 2 seconds of the movie.

The youngsters in this film are idiots, so the only entertainment comes from seeing them get hacked up. This is lazy, cliched genre film making at its dullest.
