Wow I would love to see Keanu in more bad guy roles, The movie was enjoyable and suspenseful I would have loved more story it ended too soon for me. Glad I picked this one up never heard of it before

how can one make a thriller with absolutely no suspense???? - apparently, no expertise at all. and the actors are just as lame in their uninteresting, shallow roles. bad, bad moviemaking.
Potentiel gache par une trame beaucoup trop lineaire et le talent d'acteur (ish...) de Keanu Reeves.

A fucking chair could have played his role more convincingly. As it stands The Watcher feels like a depressing 'Bill And Ted' spin-off in which Ted has left the band to pursue other interests which apparently involve strangling young ladies with piano wire, i.e: something no one should ever have to see.
Scénario très pauvre. Très mal joué que ce soit du côté du "flic hanté par ses démons" ou le profil psychologique d'un tueur baclé. Bref, à éviter.

One of the lamest serial killer thrillers of the post-Silence of the Lambs era.full review
You can't buy Keanu as a sadist, but you do worry about the guys who wrote the screenplay.full review
[Keanu's] line readings, aiming for a mixture of suavity and creepiness, just sound silly.full review
Reeves, as the killer, has the fairly thankless task of saying only what the movie needs him to say; he's limited by the fact that his killer has no real dimension or personality apart from his function as a plot device.full review
It's a mystery why anybody -- the director, the cast -- would want to devote a significant chunk of their lives to this murky tale.
