This movie just creeeeps along very, very slowly...but I still love it. It's engaging, and it wasn't predictable on my first viewing in '94.
How many movies do we have to suffer through that depict the alluring free-spirited type of girlfriend pulling the morally gray husband away from the nagging wife? More dumbness.
It's one of the most underrated movies. The movie perfectly explains what's going on in a man's life and his head when torn between a wife and a girlfriend.
The plot and the director make the movie neat and accruate. Sharon Stone was the best in the movie.

Each woman got the answer they would be satisfied with the truth buried with Vincent's death. In life, how many times we are wandering at the intersections, how many times we want to go sideways, and how many times we actually regret choosing the wrong one to spend life with? Between wife and mistress, between mudane and spontaneous, between responsibility and humanity, we got too many things on the plate. And we have to choose carefully to make the presentation right. Most importantly, we have to revert back to ourselves - what make us happy to continue the day..
Treatise on living for today and how we can be blind to the obvious at first.
Could've been a good remake but just lost it overall. A sensitive story that was made a bit of ridiculous.
