The premise is that there is a wish maker in the US, O W Grant (Gary Oldman), a fully grown leprechaun with ginger hair, a red bow tie and a monkey pipe with a love of tricks. If he is there, your wish (should you be in the mood/need to make one) will come true, with unexpected consequences for Michael J Fox amongst others.
A young guy makes an obscure wish that cannot be taken too literally, so is tempted by Christopher Lloyd on a road trip to deliver a package at an exact time on an exact date in a misspelt town on an unknown road, Interstate 60, where O W Grant is more frequently found.
With the help of some interesting hitch-hikers and meetings along the way and his trusted decision ball, guided by bill-boards of signs that no-one else seems to see, the trip goes off to visit a few unusual towns en route with some interesting adventures en route. One for teenagers and above as there is a drugs story and a girl that has never been refused - ever!
It might cost only £4 or so to buy, but you won't be giving it to a charity shop in a hurry!
I thought this was a brilliant movie. Very different from the other normal crap movies out there. It kept me entertained from beginning to end.

If you are aware that black hearts and black spades exist, you will be able to see things around you. Have you ever thought how many things of this world you are missing just because you have been conditioned to see what you are used to see?
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It really gets you thinking about cause and effect, coincidence vs. inevitability. And its funny.
One the most original films ive seen for a long time. Marsden was great as were the supporting cast, oldman and cooper standing out.
well worth a watch
A really good film, it has a lovely tone to it, quirky, funny and quite sweet really. The cast is really good and it's surprising that it slipped past unnoticed on it's release.
