Awesomeness never dies and while this doesn't quite hold up as well as I remember it's still pretty freaking awesome. One of my fave Richard Gere characters ever fosure!

(read more) 11 years before Denzel Washington went against his image in Training Day, Richard Gere did it in "Internal Affairs", which follows a rookie IAD investagator, Andy Garcia, as he tries to bring down Gere, a beat cop who's used bribes, blackmail and murder to control the department and amass a good deal of personal wealth.
As good as Garcia is the real stand out is Richard Gere playing a twisted version of his usual self. Often asscosated with chick flicks one tends to forget just how good an actor he can be as he is here, going from charming to meanacing, to manipulative and back in the space of a scene and convincing. Defeinitly one you should give a chnace.
'fist i gonna f*ck her for a while, teach her how to'...
Good story, i like it.
one of Gere`s best movies. great and intense thriller showing the dangers of leaving a cold and brutal person in charge of upholding the law.
Internal Affairs is a fun thriller where Richard Gere plays against type as a slimy cop. Watching this movie reminded me of b-film only better. There's a lot of normal thriller cliches in the story which only makes the movie better as it goes on.
Average Cop Drama, nothing special...Gere does a good job. Garcia is wooden as usual...worth a watch.
this show is one of richard gere's worst movies.....it's really a waste of time to watch this movie................
After A Strong Beginning Can't Quite Keep Up But Great Performance By Garcia.
Richard Gere plays a dirty cop, and Andy Garcia tries to catch him in the act. Not the best date film, not the best acting job. Yet, I'll never forget it.
what a dated piece of crap. the story is completely ridiculous and andy garcia continues to proudly show us all his acting style is akin to that of an ent. what a waste of time
